Most families facing autism, ADD, ADHD, eating disorders, depression, agression, and other neuro-differences often find themselves at a loss for where to begin.
We can help.
We offer a three stage approach. First is a consultation in which you tell us your specific situation and we help you understand the basic brain and nervous-system needs, challenges, and specific ways to meet them. Second step is a series of follow up consultation in which we help you create specific tailor-made activities and easy changes to your home environment – including human environment – to start effecting the positive changes in the brian and nervous system that are required.
Althought this is based on sound neuro-science, each consultation has to be tailored family by family.
The third step is to educate the family or team working with the child on how to proceed through the coming years without having to spend tens of thousands of dollars (often more!). Movement Method costs a mere fraction of this because our aim is to give you easy to apply tools that make you and your team self-sufficient as quickly as possible. This is done through a series of 3 course in Movement Method. 7 days learning in total which can be broken up into modules or delivered in blocks depending on time pressures.
After this you will have an effective tool kit of approaches for the nervous-system, brain, environment, learning, behavior, and education. You might need the odd small consultation thereafter, but most families that we have served find themselves independent and able to navigate using our tool kits pretty quickly.
Our aim is to empower you not to make you dependent on us.
We have found the best approach is to start with a 2 hour zoom (or similar) consultation in which you educate us about your family’s specific situation and we offer a series of tailor made, neuro-science based options to get going with.
The introduction consultation is $300.
After that you decide whether you want to engage us on a monthly basis which includes three one hour Zoom (or similar) consultations as well as unlimited text access to our team via WhatsApp/Signal or another messaging service of your choice. This monthly consultation is $1000 per month.
We generally find that between three and six months is the norm for this. Sometimes less, occasionally more.
Alternatively you can choose to engage us on a as needed basis for $150/h.

The key to getting independent is to really have a deep knowledge of the neuro-science and how to apply it in every context. The Movement Method Courses do this for you in a way that is tailored to your family.
Movement Method now serves thousands of people in 30 countries.
Once you have the courses under your belt you will find that you can adapt as your situation changes and make your desicion from a neuro-science and therefore truly effective basis.
Over almost two decades we have consulted with neuro-scientists, adult autist, behavioralists, and educators to find out why Movement Method works so well.
Dr. Robert Naviaux, Neuro Scientist at University California at San Diego says: “You have stumbled into a way to switch off the cell danger response in the brain and open the path to learning”.
Dr. Temple Grandin of Colorado State University helped us understand the oxytocin and communication effects of our method and says succinctly: ” Movement Method works.”
Watch the video below to learn the details:
This is the crucial course for learning the neuro-science. How to switch off the cell-danger response in the brain. How to activate the main learning centers of the brain and create long term learning. How to do all this without the child knowing that you are teaching so you never encounter resistance from the child and an introduction into how to teach the national curriculum through kinetic learning.
Life changing weather for home-school or classroom.
In this one day workshop we will cover everything from the science behind Movement Method and simple ways to include movement in your lesson plans to how to design specific activities based around a child’s interest. The cost of the workshop is $395 and the price includes a workbook to take home and a light lunch.
Movement Method 1 alone does not qualify you to become an Independent Basic Movement Method Mentor. You will also have to complete Movement Method 2 (details see below) and then follow through a Evaluation Phase.
This workshop is a mixture of theory, exercises and interactive demos. It will start at 9am and finish no later than 3pm with a break for lunch in the middle. A light lunch will be provided.

So many autism professionals out there apply what would otherwise be sound methodologies in a rigid and inflexible way resulting in heartbreak for parents as they grapple with whether or not they are doing the right thing by their child. This type of inflexible approach often elicits a fear of learning in the child or learning that does not generalize to other contexts. We created the Movement Method guidelines in direct response to this to ensure that anyone applying our methods, be they a parent, teacher or therapist/professional, will do so in a flexible, pressure free and child led way – thus optimizing their chance of success.
This two day intensive course will allow you to go more in-depth into the Movement Method guidelines in order to show you how to really set up not only the child but yourself for success. The cost of the course is $395 and the price includes a light lunch.
Participating in Movement Method 1 and Movement Method 2 qualifies you to apply to be evaluated to become an Independent Basic Movement Method Mentor.
This workshop is a mixture of theory, interactive demos, case studies, individual and group exercises. It will start at 9am and end no later than 3pm with a break for lunch.

What will be covered in Movement Method 3?
In this 5 day course you learn the really difficult stuff. How to address and change dysfunctional behaviors. How to teach really effective social skills. How to create neuroplasticity that last. How to really teach academics. How to do what schools find the most difficult task of all – creating real inclusion.
When you reach this level you begin to operate on a level that goes way beyond the therapeutic while at the same time upping your skills for creating well-being. Centers that have gone through Movement Method Level 3 often find themselves in demand as adjunct campuses for schools, and regional mental health services, and therefore find access to greater funding and staffing. If you want to go further than being just a therapeutic riding center, and becoming part of your local educational and mental health authority, then this is the gateway course.
You can take Movement Method 3 as a 5 day consecutive course or you can break it up into modules which can be done either with a physical instructor or via Zoom and other online tools with direct feedback from instructors and evaluators.
Day 1: The Physical Environment
Learn how to make-over any environment – both indoor and outdoor – for the maximum sensory and therefore and emotional/intellectual optimization. Often the environment that practitioners are trying to work in are so sensory-negative that real learning is impossible. We show you in really practical steps, how to create superb environments with very little budget. No matter the location.
Day 2: The Human Environment
Creating the right Human Environment is perhaps the biggest challenge. It is no secret, that riding centers, schools, and therapy centers often attract very controlling personality types, that work against the goals of well-being and learning. Sometimes without even realizing it. Getting past this both in yourself and learning to manage and optimize the other personalities involved in the environment is a crucial skill if you want to be successful. We teach you very practical skills in both identifying and adapting the various personality types in your environment so that from the client’s point of view the people around them are at their best. Obviously this requires continual management. We introduce you to the skills required for this.
Day 3: Behaviors
Although we are not trying to fix people and indeed we recognize and celebrate the gifts of neuro-difference, it is also true that some behaviors can be so challenging that they threaten the client’s and the families’ well-being. How to address these challenging behaviors and gradually shape them into more functional responses is a real art form. Among other challenging behaviors you will learn to address are: aggression, meltdowns, toilet training, turn taking, waiting, personal hygiene and more.
Day 4: Academics
There is no debate anymore among educational scientists, that movement is essential for learning. However, most educational programs still separate times of movement from times of learning and still try to deliver learning while sitting. i.e. They go run outside, then they go sit and do math. It is now proven that it’s far more effective to teach during the moving sessions, not after them. But how to deliver this?
This is one of our specialties. We work all over the work, not just with therapeutic riding centers, but with schools, universities, and corporate institutions (neuro-typical as well as neuro-different) to provide cutting edge strategies for moving while learning.
We will show you how to teach basic math and science, and then much more complex, pre-college modules as well such as statistics, and advanced geometry and more.
Day 5: Inclusion
This is the holy grail for most learning facilities. There is much talk about the need for inclusion, but in reality most places simply put the neuro-different people in a corner, while teaching the neuro-typicals in another corner and call this inclusion, when it is anything but. We have designed modules that are now considered a gold standard for schools and other learning centers in many countries. Each educational module we show you has specific guidelines for how to include people of different cognitive abilities as well as different learning styles in the same group exercises, so that everybody participates and everybody learns and no-one has to sit in a corner or participate in something they don’t really understand. On Day 5 you will learn through practical exercises as well as analysis how to make inclusion work.
What to bring
- Please bring plenty of water to drink and something to snack on.
- Notebook and pen
- It is also good to come with plenty of examples of where you tried and succeeded or failed to address behaviors, academics or inclusion.
